Varun Beverages to Invest ₹2100 Crore in Wardha: Varun Beverages Limited will invest ₹2,100 crore to set up a modern beverage and food manufacturing facility in Arvi, Wardha district, Maharashtra. The project is expected to create 550 direct jobs and boost agriculture, food processing and industrial development in the Vidarbha region. The company signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) in the presence of Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis in Mumbai on October 29, 2026.

Arvi to Get a Modern Beverage Manufacturing Facility

The proposed facility will be established in the MIDC industrial area at Arvi. It will focus on manufacturing beverages and other fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG). According to the proposal, work on the project is scheduled to begin in April 2027. The investment is expected to strengthen Maharashtra’s food processing sector and create new opportunities for businesses linked to agriculture. The project may also support the development of fruit juice, food processing and agro-based industries in the region.

Farmers and Local Businesses Expected to Benefit

The Varun Beverages project is expected to create new opportunities for farmers by supporting industries that use agricultural produce as raw material. The growth of food processing and fruit juice manufacturing could help increase the value of farm products and create demand for related services.

Local businesses involved in transportation, packaging, logistics and other industrial activities may also benefit from the project. The investment is expected to support the rural economy and encourage further industrial development in Wardha and nearby areas.
