Child Heart Foundation: Access to life-saving heart treatment remains a major challenge for many economically disadvantaged families, particularly when a child is diagnosed with congenital heart disease (CHD). In a significant step towards addressing this challenge, the Child Heart Foundation (CHF) has supported critical cardiac treatment for more than 260 infants and children across Uttar Pradesh, helping families overcome financial barriers to specialized medical care.

Expanding Access to Affordable Heart Treatment for Children

The initiative highlights the importance of affordable pediatric cardiac treatment, early diagnosis and stronger healthcare support systems to ensure that children from financially weaker backgrounds receive timely medical intervention.

Nirma’s Successful Heart Surgery with Corporate Support

The foundation’s efforts have helped transform the lives of several children through life-saving surgeries and comprehensive medical support. Among them is 12-year-old Nirma, who successfully underwent corrective heart surgery for Tetralogy of Fallot at Indraprastha Apollo Hospital on May 23, 2026. Her treatment was made possible through the joint support of Foundation and GAIL Gas Limited.

HRIDAAN® Initiative Helps Identify Critical Heart Conditions

Another inspiring story is that of 14-year-old Surya Pratap from Saharanpur, whose complex congenital heart condition was identified during a community screening camp organized by the foundation. He subsequently received life-saving medical intervention through CHF’s flagship HRIDAAN® initiative.

IDBI Trusteeship and Concentrix Support Life-Saving Surgeries

Similarly, Prashant Kumar received critical open-heart surgery along with comprehensive post-operative medication support through the foundation’s partnership with IDBI Trusteeship Services. In another case, Afifa from Meerut successfully underwent essential cardiac surgery on April 29, 2025, with financial support provided through CHF’s corporate partnership with Concentrix.

Every Child Deserves Access to Quality Cardiac Care

Speaking about the initiative, a spokesperson for Foundation said that every child deserves an opportunity to live a healthy life, grow stronger and pursue their dreams, irrespective of their family’s financial circumstances and other things. The spokesperson emphasized that the journey from diagnosis to surgery and recovery can be extremely challenging for families. The foundation aims to bridge financial gaps and strengthen referral networks to provide children with timely medical treatment and renewed hope.

Corporate Partnerships Strengthen Pediatric Healthcare

The achievement has been made possible through collaboration between healthcare institutions, public health networks, community-level screening programmes and corporate partners. These partnerships play an important role in identifying children with heart conditions at an early stage and connecting them with appropriate medical facilities.

Child Heart Foundation Plans to Expand Its Reach Across India

CHF continues to expand its work across underserved communities, focusing on making specialized pediatric cardiac care more accessible. Its approach covers the entire treatment journey, including early diagnosis, surgical assistance and post-operative recovery, ensuring that financial difficulties and geographical barriers do not prevent children from receiving essential healthcare.

Established in 2013, the Foundation is a non-profit organization working to improve access to specialized pediatric cardiac care across India. Through initiatives such as JEEVANSH and Hridya Saksham, the organization supports children at different stages of their healthcare journey, from early diagnostic screening and grassroots capacity building to financial assistance for cardiac surgeries and post-operative recovery.

Building a Healthier Future for Children with Heart Disease

Heart Foundation is working towards creating a stronger and more accessible pediatric healthcare support system for economically disadvantaged families. The foundation’s efforts go beyond sponsoring life-saving surgeries, focusing equally on early diagnosis, community-level awareness, medical referrals and post-operative care to improve long-term health outcomes for children. Through collaborations with leading hospitals, healthcare professionals, public health networks and corporate partners, CHF aims to identify more children suffering from congenital heart disease and connect them with the specialized treatment they need.

Such partnerships are particularly important for families living in underserved and remote areas, where access to advanced pediatric cardiac facilities and the financial resources required for treatment can be limited. By strengthening these support systems and expanding initiatives such as HRIDAAN®, JEEVANSH and Hridya Saksham, the organization aims to reach more vulnerable children across India. Its continued efforts underline the importance of ensuring that no child is denied an opportunity for a healthier future simply because their family cannot afford specialized medical treatment.
