BHIM Meethi Diwali 2026: With Diwali approaching, BHIM Payments App, India’s homegrown digital payments platform developed by NPCI BHIM, has announced the third edition of its ‘Meethi Diwali’ initiative in partnership with Goonj, a non-profit organisation working on community development. The initiative aims to bring the spirit of festive giving to everyday digital payments by supporting children who need essential learning materials.

Under the Meethi Diwali 2026 campaign, BHIM App will contribute towards providing school kits to children in need of educational support for every seventh transaction made by users on the app between October 19 and November 8, 2026. The initiative seeks to turn routine digital payments into an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in children’s lives and support their access to education.

BHIM Meethi Diwali Campaign Connects Digital Payments With Social Impact

Diwali is traditionally associated with sharing happiness, generosity and hope. Through this campaign, BHIM Payments App aims to extend these values beyond festive celebrations by connecting digital payment activity with a social cause.

The school kits will help provide children with essential learning materials, supporting their educational needs and creating opportunities for them to learn and grow. By linking contributions to transactions made on the app, the initiative encourages users to become part of a wider effort to support children through their everyday digital payment activities.

The partnership with Goonj adds a community-focused dimension to the campaign, bringing together digital technology and grassroots social impact. The initiative also highlights how digital payment platforms can contribute to causes beyond financial convenience by encouraging participation in meaningful social programmes.

Gaurav Kochhar on Meethi Diwali 2026

Commenting on the initiative, Gaurav Kochhar, Chief of Business at NPCI BHIM, highlighted the importance of connecting festive celebrations with opportunities to support children’s education.

“Diwali reminds us that the true joy of a celebration lies in the happiness it brings to others. Through ‘Meethi Diwali 2026’, we want to extend that joy a little further by connecting something as simple as digital payment with something as meaningful as a child’s education. Every child deserves the opportunity to learn, grow and dream of a brighter future. Our partnership with Goonj brings this belief to life, turning everyday transactions on BHIM App into an opportunity to support children with essential learning materials. As Bharat Ka Apna Payments App, we believe that when technology is built around people, even small actions can help create a meaningful difference.”

BHIM Payments App Promotes Digital Payments With a Purpose

The third edition of Meethi Diwali reinforces BHIM’s focus on combining digital payment adoption with social responsibility. By encouraging users to make their regular transactions through the app during the campaign period, the initiative aims to demonstrate how technology can help create positive outcomes for communities.

With digital payments becoming an increasingly familiar part of everyday life in India, initiatives such as Meethi Diwali 2026 highlight the potential of technology-led partnerships to support education and community welfare. Through its collaboration with Goonj, BHIM Payments App is bringing a message of shared responsibility to the festive season, reminding users that even small everyday actions can contribute to a larger social cause.
